Understanding the external world of the Healthcare Professionals and being a conduit of information both ways between the customers and the client

Cross-functional team member who supports the product specialists to reach their business goals with appropriate scientific and medical activity

Establishing sound patient care pathways for all upcoming new products across the sector of ambulatory and in-house care settings

Establish and develop relationships with Healthcare Professionals and Key Opinion

Leaders in the therapeutic field

Support scientific and medical relationships with the clients organization at both country and European levels

Support medical activities as required in country with the country Medical Director

A company therapy area expert in the relevant field and a product expert in the data for the product, enabling him/her to be a resource for the medical/scientific community

Work cross-functionally across the clients country organization to support business goals and objectives, therefore providing appropriate support to other functions

Training internal team members in relevant therapy areas and product training

Stay abreast of advances in the relevant disease areas

Support the Medical Department in country as needed
University degree in natural sciences, pharmacy, or medicine and a PhD

Minimum of two years experience in working as Medical Scientific Liaison Manager in specialty care areas (hospital drugs)

Demonstrated ability to enter a new therapy area and rapidly become knowledgeable on the therapy area and product data

Experience in working cross-functionally with sales teams

Experience of working in Infectious Disease area is a plus

Ability to built up strong networks and relationships with Key Opinion Leaders

Full understanding of country rules for the Pharmaceutical Industry for promotional and non-promotional activities

Understanding of the basic requirements of Good Clinical Practice

Practical knowledge of handling of Medical Information queries

Excellent communication skills: oral and presentation skills as well as telephone and email

Ethical and honest behavior and standards

Able to work flexibly on a day-by-day basis when the business requires it

Attitude that is entrepreneurial in nature, willing to look for new ways to work with Colleagues and customers

Ability to travel in country for 60 - 70% of the time

Ability to travel internationally as required to support the client at scientific congresses, or clients meetings

Fluency in English language, particularly scientific language

Computer literacy (word processing, internet searching, use of PubMed or MedLine to search for literature, familiarity with commonly used technology
